Breakfast Anyone?

We're going back in time a few years with this art journal page. More like 40 years lol. Do the yellow Formica counter tops, yellow appliances, and peach cabinets bring back memories for anyone? I can just picture whipping up some scrambled eggs, bacon, and adding apple slices. Yummy breakfast.

I'm actually quote jealous, seeing as how I couldn't draw my way out of a paper sack. William drew this entire page by hand, only using colored pencils and our stand mixer template to draw the mixer on the counter.

You can find all of our templates and embellishments in our store, so head on over and check it out!

Teddy Bear T-shirt

Welcome back everyone! Today I have something a bit different for me - a t-shirt. Yes, I'm playing with fabric and clothing....and my JnW Crafts Teddy Bear template. A project where I didn't touch my ink pads lol. Might just be a first for me.

Let's jump right into how it was made.

I chose three different patterns of fabrics, cut to 4 in x 6 in each.

In addition to the fabric, I also cut three pieces of fusible web to 4 in x 6 in.  If you didn't know, this gal does not sew! :) I simply followed the directions on fusible web package. The one I was using had a paper back that was removed, then I pressed the fusible web to the wrong side of my fabric. I then used my JnW Crafts template to draw my teddy bear design.

Next, I cut out the three teddy bears. I removed the backing from the other side of my fusible web then ironed on the cut-outs to my t-shirt.

To add a bit more color to the shirt, I hand sewed on a bit of ric-rac trim to the sleeves.  Start to finish, it took about 30 minutes to finish the t-shirt. Which is a good thing because I had to make a second one ASAP. Perils of having twins in the family is that you must have two of everything :)

I hope you've enjoyed your visit today! Head on over to our store and check out all of the other templates and embellishments we have to offer.

Ice Cream Cones Template and Embellishment Set

For those of us here in the south, we have most definitely hit the dog days of summer. Close to triple digit heat, well over triple digit heat indexes, and super high humidity - it all adds up to hot, hot, hot outside.

One of my favorite ways of cooling off is with a cold ice cream. Now you can take that summer obsession and use it on any of your crafting projects. And with two sizes on the cones, it's even easier to incorporate one or both ice cream cones into your project.

So head on over to our store and have a look at this and all the other templates and embellishments we have.

Happy Travels Tag

Happy Monday everyone! We are having a blast here at JnW creating more and more new designs just for you. Today we have an amazing project from our Guest Design Team member Dana Tatar. You won't believe how she used the wine bottle embellishment. Keep reading, and I'll let Dana give you all the details.

Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a tag that I created with the JnW crafts Whimsical Wine Bottle embellishment. I turned the bottle on its side to create a "whale" for this tag. (If you love whales, there are whale templates and embellishments!)

I used a Distress Paint Dauber to color this wood embellishment. I did not seal the wood before painting because I wanted the beautiful wood grain to show through the paint. I added a fun googly eye and rhinestone "water" flourish to the whale and finished the tag with die-cuts and stickers.

Thanks for stopping by today! You can visit Dana at her blog.

Altered Storage Jar

Welcome back! Are you ready for another fun project? Jamie here, and today I have a fun altered jar to share with you. So let's get started on how it was made.

I started by simply wrapping a jar with bakers twine.

Next, I painted a chipboard arrow with white acrylic paint, then drew an outline with a black Zig Millennium pen.

Next up, I inked the back of an acrylic text bubble embellishment from JnW Crafts with white StazOn. Next, I colored the edges with a black Sharpie. Then I stamped the sentiment with black StazOn ink.

Once the ink was dry on the acrylic embellishment, I adhered both the arrow and the text bubble to the jar, then added a few flowers on top.

To finish the jar, I added a few drops of Stickles to the flower centers and then added a mini light bulb.

This will make a wonderful, decorative addition to my shelves. And a much prettier way to store my paint brushes. You could also use this jar to store your colored pencils and markers too.

Thanks for stopping by! You can find the text bubble, along with many other items in our store.
